Hibernation Mode allows windows to resume its operation quicker when turned back on from sleep . These Eliminates the booting process from scratch which often takes a bit longer
How it Works :
When the Mode is Activated , the current content of the memory including all applications running are saved to disk and the computer is turned off so retaining its state . So when its turned back on computer resumes back to the state where it was before turned .
Installing Windows 8 . The Hibernate options is not by default available . . which troubles many users on the way to enable it .
Enable Hibernation in Windows 8 :
-- Go to Control Panel -> Power option or Just click on the battery Icon from the system tray and select more power options
-- Then on the left sidebar click " Choose what the Power buttons do "
-- Then click on " Change settings that are currently unavailable "
-- At the bottom under Shutdown settings tick on Hibernate option checkbox then click on save changes
There you will have Hibernation mode activated under power menu
