How To Resume BROKEN links with IDM [ Internet Download Manager ]

Most of you might have come across with an error that tells IDM could not resume the download of your file that you where download ..

You might get so frustrated when you have already downloaded the file more than 70% and then  it prompts you with an idea of resuming the download from start ..

The reason for this might be due to  ;

--  IDM can"t connect to the server
-- The session has expired
-- You have internet connection problem
-- The file is missing from the server
-- It could also be at the server where the file is being downloaded etc

IDM will want you to download the file from the beginning and apparently you have already downloaded the file more than 1GB ..

There is a trick that could help you resume the file where it last stopped .
But the condition for this to work is the file to still be on the server where it was being downloaded  

Procedures 

1: When IDM pops up a window like One showing above . Click on OK

2: A new window will show up and after a short moment you will be redirected to the link where the file was being downloaded

3: Click on the link to start downloading the file again ..
    When IDM starts downloading Pause the download

4: Now open the IDM application and double on the new file that has just started downloadig

Then copy the link in the address bar as shown below

4: On IDM window double click the old file that was stopped and delete the link in the address bar then paste the link from the new file

5:  Hit Ok  , then click resume tab .. It will resume download instantly
